Play Mind Games at Halloween

My brother really scared  a bunch of tourist in a Halloween past. In our town, Halloween is normally practiced when the sun comes down. That’s when the ghouls and goblins are allowed out.

Well, that was not good enough for my brother.

He wore one of his military camouflage outfits and walked past some vacationing tourists in the middle of the day. He’s a pretty large fellow. He’s not a giant but he’s not small by any means.

Silently and slowly he walked the street as if, there was a major gas leak somewhere or a bomb was about to explode.  It’s even more disconcerting when you can’t see a person’s facial expressions. They could not see him grinning behind his gas mask and goggles.

It must’ve brought back terrible memories for those who had been in wars or had heard horror stories  about them.

I don’t condone what my brother did that Halloween but I bring it up to illustrate a point. Dressing up for Halloween not only allows us to visualize ourselves as someone we may not be in everyday life but how you present yourself, even in costume, could also bring about great emotion in others that have to look at you.

My brother admitted that he didn’t think that his costume was going to be so scary.  He was just out to have fun on Halloween.

Those that interpreted my brother’s costume in a positive way, likely went out and got a costume for themselves and enjoyed themselves that night. But, it was not fun for those who interpreted it in a negative way. Learn how you can control your own mind in positive ways Here.
