In our town, Halloween is normally practiced when the sun comes down. That’s when the ghouls and goblins are allowed out.

Well, that was not good enough for my brother.

He wore one of his military camouflage outfits and walked past some vacationing tourists in the middle of the day. He’s a pretty large fellow. He’s not a giant but he’s not small by any means.

Silently and slowly he walked the street as if, there was a major gas leak somewhere or a bomb was about to explode. It’s even more disconcerting when you can’t see a person’s facial expressions. They could not see him grinning behind his gas mask and goggles.

It must’ve brought back terrible memories for those who had been in wars or had heard horror stories about them.

I don’t condone what my brother did that Halloween but I bring it up to illustrate a point. Dressing up for Halloween not only allows us to visualize ourselves as someone we may not be in everyday life but how you present yourself, even in costume, could also bring about great emotion in others that have to look at you.

My brother admitted that he didn’t think that his costume was going to be so scary. He was just out to have fun on Halloween.

Those that interpreted my brother’s costume in a positive way, likely went out and got a costume for themselves and enjoyed themselves that night. But, it was not fun for those who interpreted it in a negative way. Learn how you can control your own mind in positive ways Here.

Don’t forget to check out my Favorte Halloween Costume Story at Mind Visualization; where we’re serving up some brains.

Way Easier Than Positive Thinking

The Power of Attraction states that by thinking positively, positive energy will be attracted back to you. But the truth is that negative thinking is really the easiest way of getting what you want.

<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

What happens when you think these negative thoughts? “I don’t deserve a loving relationship.” “I can never lose weight.”

If you saw The Secret, you know that there are some good points made about the power of attraction but if you went home and tried the techniques with nothing more than thinking that I must think positive thoughts, you probably did not get very far with it.

Negative thinking gives you immediate gratification so if you said that you don’t deserve a loving relationship…guess what, you probably won’t have one. And one can only guess what happens when we say that we can never lose weight.

This is the secret that The Secret movie kind of glossed over. But this it is very important that we understand why the success rate of negative thought far surpasses that of positive thought. The passion or the emotional energy that you put into your negative thought is often greater and more focused than the energy you put into your positive thinking.

We are conditioned to think that negative action is more acceptable than positive thought and so, we sabotage ourselves and make excuses why something good would never work.

Our thoughts, negative or positive, largely come from our past memories that we have stored in our subconscious mind.

Your childhood, culture and belief systems that you grew up with, subconscious images that you created and stored in the back of your mind have a great bearing on your thinking pattern today. Unfortunately, in most cases, the ones you quickly recall and use are the ones that came with much negative emotion.

Having said this, while it is highly possible to use positive thinking to manifest your desires, if we do not get to heart of those negative thoughts and change them, you will likely see the failure manifest as you predicted would happen.

To avoid such negative outcome, you must re-create the negative thought into a positive one.

Only then, might the power of positive thinking actually work.

Garden Your Mind With This Trick

<!--[if gte mso 9]><xml>

For us gardeners, the back yard is our oasis. It is a place of healing.
Garden therapy method of healing has been used for a long time as one of many mind control tricks that you can perform on yourself
and probably have done so without even knowing it.

The
words “mind control tricks” sounds a little harsh but when you dissect it,
that’s what we’re doing. We are tricking our minds when we are in the garden
pruning our trees or picking out the weeds.

According
to experts, herbs gardening may be the most therapeutic and soothing to the
nerves. Helps you relax your mind after a very busy and stressful day. Have you
ever wondered why this is so.

By immersing yourself in a single task such as pulling out those pesky
weeds, you are focusing on one thing, the weed. Now, you know that you will
never be able to pull out all the weeds because they keep growing back, but you
continue to do so. You say that it’s because you want to feel good about your
garden but what you are really doing is working towards feeling good within
yourself.

Luckily, this garden therapy method of healing will ensure that you will
never run out of weeds to pull because day after day those weeds will keep
coming.

But if the thought of constant weed pulling stresses you out, consider these
alternatives to weed pulling:

Hydroponic Gardening

Rock Gardening

Water Feature

Wind Chimes

The garden is filled with any number of mind control tricks that you can use
to heal your mind. When you are choosing your garden therapy method, keep in
mind the following:

Time: If you are a very busy person, you’ll need plants or a method that
requires minimal attention.

The best healing garden therapy methods utilize as much of your senses as possible (hear, feel, touch, sight, taste and
smell). Playing mind control tricks on yourself could not be any easier and
more satisfying. So go plant a seed.

Wednesday, August 13, 2008

Hi everyone!
